Re: Flash forward

It was the first night the two of them had spent alone since what felt like forever. Ella had more than learnt her mistake in trying to push Lara away in order to protect her. Lara had made that clear and it seemed almost impossible for the two of them to break apart. Regardless of Ella nearly losing her life twice for Lara she would do it again if she had to and without any regrets.
The vampire spent the entire evening with a smile on her face, occasionally laughing at the damage they had caused around the apartment. It wasn’t intended but they had a lot of catching up to do and with some of Ella’s blood in her system, Lara was strength and stamina was more than up for the task.
Eventually, after finding their way to bed the two of them collapsed into one another and ignored the outside world. The party continued to rage across the campus with most students completely unaware of the battle that took place inside the stadium. LaF had drank too much to know what was going on or even remember the fireworks while Perry spent the evening chasing LaF and making sure they were alright.

Ella turned in the sheets the second she felt Lara snuggle close. A soft and low purr escaping her throat that was completely unintended but happened when she was completely relaxed and in a state of bliss. “You’re getting harder to leash.”, Ella let her fingers curl into her girls bed hair. “And I thought a witch wouldn’t be able to keep up with a vampire.” She teased and placed a soft kiss to the top of Lara’s head.

The ice wolves had retreated to their caves, the pack feeling the pain one of their own was in. Leo’s cries were heard long into the night as healers from the pack did their best to comfort the what was once a happy go lucky youngster in the pack. For a long time Sylens kept Fliss out of the room while Leo was sedated just so he could sleep. It was hard for the pack to feel his pain without the alpha to block it but everyone spread it out equally and comforted one another in the knowledge that he’s wounded but not gone.

“And you’ve messaged and called her but she’s not answering?” Eliza listened to Fliss with her hands folded across her chest. She rested back against the wall with her long blond hair pushed to one side.

“Okay, so first of all you don’t have a vampire girlfriend you can threaten them with and second? Second we can’t just charge in there and take it. You know we would lose a lot of us and now isn’t the time for that. Maybe we should recruit more or at least train before we go in?”

By this point the wolf had placed her hands in her pockets and was looking at Fliss with the eyes saying we needed to be smart about this. Eliza had been friends with Leo and Fliss since they were kids so she hoped Fliss would at least take on board what she said.

“You to realise that you’re the closest person to Lara, right? I know we don’t have an alpha anymore but the pack will listen to you.”

Eliza turned her gaze the floor knowing she shouldn’t speak of Fliss’s best friend at a time like this but she had to ask. Considering the whole pack knew of Leo to be the joker and class clown of the pack, seeing him without a smile on his face might be hard. “Did you manage to see Leo? Is he going to be okay?”
