She was about to object on how many times she had asked but the second her temper flared up Lara’s lips found hers and everything else melted away. Her arms slipped around Lara’s waist, holding her closer. When their lips parted and combined with fingers through her hair, Ella couldn’t stop herself from softly purring.
Instantly embarrassed she pulled back when the kiss ended. “I can’t remember the last time that happened…”
Linking their fingers Ella shook off the embarrassment by leading Lara over to the bathroom. It just so happened that Lara’s phone started to vibrate with floods of messages from Fliss asking if she was okay and telling her that Leo wasn’t good and LaF who was drink and unable to send messages in one go but several broken badly spelt texts where the words needed some sort of drunken translation.
She was half tempted to turn off the phone now they were finally alone but knowing the messages could have been important she nodded over to where her phone screen was lighting up on the floor. It must have landed there when they teleported. “Could be important?”
