The vampires defences were down. Wounded from the fight but healing, the last thing she expected was for Lara to pull a move like that. She didn’t realise how far she had dropped her guard around Lara until it was too late and Ella came crashing down into the water.
Soaked from head to toe, Ella waited for Lara to come back up for air and playfully splashed water towards her. It was the most she had laughed in months, possibly years.
“You’re going to regret that later Miss Hollis. Revenge is something I’m particularly good at.” Her words might have been a bit more threatening if it wasn’t for the fact she couldn’t stop laughing as she started to peel away her clothes. A few drops of my blood would do it but you would lose your magic for a few hours.” She trailed her hands up from Lara’s sides and put her arms around her neck.
