"And that was fast!" Laura blinked. "Worryingly fast. Almost as if someone
was looking for an excuse to move. I might have believed it in a few weeks.
But less than a day? That's a stitch-up. And that means the DEO might be
under the control of someone actively malicious." She was still blinking.
"I think they need press oversight if at all possible. And yes, I got her
invitation and will be there soon." There were few people Laura wouldn't
cross the road to help, but Alex had in a very short time managed to put
herself on the very short list of people Laura would cross the road to
avoid.
