Folding her arms across her chest and leaning on counter, Camilla kept calm as if to try and mask the worried chat LaF and her just had. She wouldn’t lie to Laura; everyone was worried but Carm had to be the strong one. “Both of them are…concerned. It’s now full research mode in there.” And it was. LaF and Perry were channeling their worry and unease after everything by giving themselves something to focus on, also it meant neither of them had to be alone which was always a bonus around this campus.
“Seals like that one have been around for so long that they make my mother look like a child in age.” The microwave finished and Carm searched for her favorite cup with the straw sticking out the top. Of course it had to be hidden behind various ceramic mugs with insanely old art deco prints on them. Her mother had the weirdest taste. “I don’t think many people get to live through what you have so there’s a chance no one has wrote down a side effects page. You did see a lot of energy, power…light…whatever they call it. Maybe it gave something to you.”
She took her warmed blood out the microwave and turned her back to face Laura while she made her drink. There was a time Carm tried to hide the blood and keep anything to do with it away from Laura thanks to the milk situation that happened in the dorm room over a year ago but since then Laura had seen Carm in some pretty questionable blood moustache states. She did hide what she was.
“On the other hand there’s a chance you saw more than a human should. If that’s the case we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.” She flashed a reassuring smirk. “In the mean time you’ve got your two friends out there who are also with you annoyingly every step of the way.”
