Carm couldn’t wipe the smile off her face. Laura might have thought she needed to practice but in truth she didn’t. To Carm this was perfect and reminded her of the nineteen-year-old she first met with all of her quirky qualities.
With the clatter of the ring hitting the floor, Carm had to lean right across Laura to take a look. “I think it’s gone under the bed.” She briefly stepped out started to shift around the under bed boxes until Carm found the ring.
It was beyond beautiful.
Somewhere in staring at the ring things suddenly became real. She took a seat on edge of the bed, Laura’s side and couldn’t tear her eyes away. “Laura…it’s…it’s beautiful. Where did you even…?”
