"And I guess little human me doesn't have the pain threshold of either a three hundred year old vampire or a version of me who's a vampire wielding the power of the Silas Charter, especially when not worked up to it." She didn't point out that it wasn't a matter of not being able to take the crop, but of wanting to hit back. "On the other hand being between you two is hotter than hell. And I enjoy playing the damsel sometimes."
