Carm caught the weight of the collapse only because their arms were around one another, much to Mircalla’s dislike. She preferred Laura leant back onto her in a writhing mess but if she fell into Carm, so be it.
“Not nearly enough payback for making us freeze.” Mircalla turned off the sybian. When she got up from the saddle she instinctively grabbed a light robe that was over one of the dressers. “If I had my way I’d keep her up till morning.” She let the robe hang free, just covering her breasts and watched Carmilla take Laura over to the bed.
“Enough Mircalla. You’re acting like a child.” Carm tried not to snap but the words simply came out. Getting on the bed she started to trace patterns and swirls along Laura’s back with her fingertips. Sometimes, when she couldn’t sleep Carm would delicately spell out sentences or words and test if Laura was awake. It made her laugh when Laura sometimes guessed the sentence wrong or couldn’t make out the word. Something they did when they were alone but comforting none the less.
Mircalla went to the opposite side of the bed. The side that Laura was facing. She briefly pouted at Carmilla, showing her words had no effect on her and sighed. “I can’t help having some fun. She’s got so much potential.”
“I’m sure Ell does too.” Carmilla’s reply made Mircalla bite her tongue. She could see it got under her skin and Mircalla was fighting not to show it.
In that silence Carm closed her eyes tried to sleep.

Mircalla couldn’t sleep. She was bored, cranky and still wanted some fun. It wasn’t every day younger versions of yourself and your wife come into your universe so why not make the most of it? With Laura and Carmilla fast asleep, Mircalla shifted closer to Laura. Close enough she put her hand on her thigh and snuggled in. She needed that contact to make a stronger connection because out of boredom and curiosity Mircalla closed her eyes and entered Laura’s dreams.
