“Hey I don’t brood that much.”, Carm looked at LaF who gave a shrug and a nod that pretty much agreed with Laura. “Being put in the same sentence as Angel. A notable low point of the day.” She went to get her cup of blood from the table.

Callis hadn’t lost a second of anger since Laura used permanent marker on her forehead. What made the situation worse was having Kirsch follow her around like some lost puppy and a bad reminder of that day. But while the four of them stayed in The Deans old house Mel hadn’t stopped thinking of a way to get her revenge. Not just on Laura but all of them. She was hurt her now ex friends couldn’t see that tranquilising the vampire who broke her wrists and also had super strength was actually an act of protecting her.
She thought they trusted her more than that.
Having had a day to try and cool down and scrub off the pen. Mel stared into the bathroom mirror mumbling something about hating annoying bloggers. Those mumbles quickly turned to anger.
“You know, you should really learn to control that rage. Someone might get hurt.” Mattie appeared in the reflection of the mirror standing behind Callis with a smile. Clearly knowing who she was she whipped around to see if Mattie was real.
She was.
Within seconds she had a blade out and paused at Mattie’s throat. “Give me one good reason.” She pushed the blade, forcing Mattie to raise her head higher. Mattie didn’t flinch. She didn’t even care.
“I’m already dead Cherie but I’m here to help. Wel helpl for my own amusement.” Mattie slowly pulled Callis’s hand down and the blade away. “You want your revenge don’t you? Why not have some fun while you’re at it.”
Mel folded her arms, unable to resist that offer. “Two minutes. I’m listening.”
“You know death has a plan for everything. You want revenge? Go to them, read these words out loud in their presence and both Carmilla and her…pet..will become vulnerable. You aren’t strong enough to kill them at the moment but at least this way you stand a chance.” At that Mattie held out her hand and old piece of parchment appeared. The words were magically shifting on the page, some of them even swapping places and making it hard to read.
Callis wasn’t buying any of this, she frowned at the scrape of parchment but took it anyway. “Why would you help me? I know you and Carmilla are friends.”
“Maybe it’s not me who wants it done. Maybe I’m just a mouth piece who has been told to give you hand. Never the less I have my reasons.” With that Mattie vanished in a cloud of black smoke.
A wicked smile spread across her face.

With breakfast out the way Carmila had left them all downstairs to take a shower. LaF and Perry would no doubt be researching or trying to conduct experiments. Laura probably recording her latest video. She eventually emerged, clothed and roughly drying her hair with a towel.
“Can I make them leave now?” Carm huffed at Laura, clearly talking about LaF and Perry who were thankfully in the other room and out of ear shot.
