Laura had been wondering what to do with Kirsch, and seeing Danny arrive she realised that the two problems could be used to solve each other. "Danny!" Laura stepped forward, talking at least as fast as she normally did to deliberately sound like herself and unlike LaF. "Silas is being its weird self again! I'm LaFontaine and she's me. Carmilla and Perry are each other. And that's Callis in Kirsch's body."
Danny was getting the dazed look people often did when Laura was catching them up, whether on Silas or on a show. But this time Laura was deliberately counting on it; she'd seen enough to know people overwhelmed wanted something to do. "And Kirsch is in Callis'. Which means we've got to have someone show Kirsch how to behave like a girl if we don't want this to cause another panic."
She was still gesticulating as she continued "And Callis is tied to a chair because she set the scroll off that triggered this. After tranquing Carmilla last night." She could see Danny thinking she'd have liked to do that. "Now. Could you look after Kirsch, please, Danny?"
"Look after Kirsch? While he's Callis? Of course I can." Danny smiled.
